In our fifth chapter of our Celebrating the Journey series, we have a conversation with one of the founders of Convertible Solutions George Fry .
Convertible Solutions was born out of a simple need: eliminate envelopes. As George Fry recalls, “It began as a need for Inter-State Studio & Publishing Co. to produce a self-encapsulated flyer.” That need sparked the innovation that would become Convertible Solutions — a company built on pushing boundaries, solving real-world printing challenges, and redefining how print can perform. From its earliest days to now, the company has evolved into a leader in creative substrates and pre-converted solutions — always focused on customer value and smarter workflows.
Over the years, Convertible Solutions has weathered major shifts in the industry — including the disruption of COVID-19 and the unpredictability of the paper market. But through it all, the heart of the company has remained its people. “The team is incredibly creative and passionate about what they do,” Fry says. “They come to work to create, not just collect a paycheck.” He credits the team’s willingness to take risks — and learn from failure — as the driving force behind the company’s ongoing innovation. “There is no individual bigger than Convertible Solutions. Together we succeed.”
